Volunteer in Asia-Pacific

As a volunteer you will be matched with a role that suits your interests and abilities.
We regularly engage volunteers with particular backgrounds (teachers, doctors, hairdressers, sport instructors, chefs, builders, etc.) to work at orphanages supported by Sunflower Children’s Foundation.
You do not pay us for your volunteer placements, however, be prepared to arrange and pay for your travel, visas, work permits, insurance, accommodation, sustenance and supplies you think you will need for your mission. Most supplies can be easily purchased locally.

In order to match you to a specific opportunity, we need to complete our recruitment process. This helps us learn more about you, your current skills and experience, and why you want to volunteer with Sunflower Children’s Foundation. We want to make sure that you know what’s required of you as a volunteer.
All volunteers have to complete Working With Children (WWC) checks.
You must under go a WWC check even if you have done a Police Check previously.
How to Apply:
Please send us a motivation letter, your CV, a proof that you have no criminal record and contact details of referees who can confirm your work history and skills.
All candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum age of 24;
- Good health; all relevant vaccinations must be up to date and certificates made available on request;
- No less than 3 months of commitment for teachers and trainers, 1 month for medical specialists, 1 week for everyone else;
- Proof of available funds and a letter from your financial guarantor.
You will receive a Certificate of Appreciation on successful completion of your mission.
Most importantly your contribution will improve health, education and development of the most disadvantaged children you have ever encountered.
Deliver Necessities
Collect from us and deliver a pre-packed kit of much needed first aid medications, personal hygiene products and school supplies directly to a family or a community in need on the way to your location in Asia-Pacific.
